Gardening time is here … or is it? I say yes at least for starting your seeds, planning your garden. Not yet here anyway for planting. I am in Zone 5a. So I’ve started some plants indoors. I have marigolds , thyme, oregano, basil. a few Roma tomatoes indoors. I have a small 4 shelf greenhouse of sorts. I have it sitting on top of a heat register. They are doing well but not like a normal greenhouse.
I have grow lights in there under each shelf. You don’t need the light to start your seeds but after they have sprouted you will need them. I also have a small thermometer in there to keep track of the temp.
Today, I found some great free e-books. As always before downloading make sure the price hasn’t changed. You may find some of these worthwhile. I downloaded them and will be reading them.
I’ve transplanted a few of the marigolds into larger containers. Now I can use a very diluted fertilizer to the transplanted plants. The picture of the marigolds in last years garden were from seed started indoors.
Have fun planning your garden and starting your seeds. It won’t be long.
